Karting: (ENG) In Sarno “kick off” on track for RMCGF 2016 with QP and QHeats
DAY 4 in Sarno, home of Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals 2016. It has been the real kick off for this world event where the drivers have been on track for the Qp and the first races as Qualifiying Heats.
In Sarno’s track in Italy performing the RMCGF at Circuito Internazionale Napoli one of the most important plant for Karting motorsport speciality.
As alredy communicated, 360 helmets involved in the event with drivers from 59 different countries. Six the classes where drivers are competing. The RMCGF is promoted by a giant of the engineering industry, the Austrian BRP-Rotax.
Non official session on track on Monday and Tuesday. On day 4, Wednesday, as schedule first official activities with the Qualifying Practices (Qp) for all six classes and 10 races as Qualifying Heats (Qh).
Weather condition excellent and track a little bit tricky as a grip due the heavy rain of previous day.
Leaderboard for the day. The results of Qualifying Practices (Qp) valid to be on pole position spot for the races as (Qh) are: on Micro Max class, R. De Haan (NED) with 1.11.488; on Mini Max, M. Boya (ITA) with 1.07.934; on Max Junior, R. Macdermid (CND) with 1.03.010; on Max Senior, M. Novak (AUT) with 1.01.735; on Max DD2, K. Bielecki (POL) with 1.00.113 and in Max DD2 Masters, N. Verheul (RSA) with 1.00.635.
Concerning the Qh, scheduled 10 races and names under the spotlighs are as winners: S. Vallve from Hungary on Micro Max, V. Bernier from France in Mini Max; British driver J. Hoggard in Max Junior, L. Schiavo from Venezuela with USA licence in DD2 Master.
On the road for Saturday, 22 October for the Grand Finals races, on Thursday, day 5 other Qh sessions plus the warm-up on the early morning.
