Karting: In Sarno kick off for WSK Super Master Series 2016 on a tricky track and weather

Friday, day one for practices at Circuito for the first event of the season.

Sarno’s track in Italy performing WSK Super Master Series to signing the opening of the race season 2016.  Three day along the present weekend for one of the most important and competitive series for Karting in one of the most important track for this motorsport speciality.

201 helmets for the drivers with their kart vehicles, they will race for the second round of WSK SMS. Four categories, from the 125 KZ with gearbox to the brand new spec on OK and OKJ (125cc direct drive) plus the 60ccMini.

On Friday, a very low-grip surface was the first of several challenges the drivers faced when they explored the Circuito Internazionale Napoli.

For this day, Free Practice for all four class or categories involved in the event but in the afternoon first official result with Qualification Practice session for big classes OK, OKJ and KZ plus two race as Qualification Heats for OKJ cat.

So, for the Qp, in 125cc OKJ in two batch, Italian G. Fusco (Lenzo/Lke/Vega) with 1.24.070 and Belgian U. De Pauw (BirelArt/Parilla/Vega) with 1.24.156 then in the second batct, best time for Russian P. Bulantsev (TonyKart/Vortex/Vega) with 1.15.464 and in his side  Brazilian C. Collet (BirelArt/Parilla/Vega) at 1.15.802. For the combinate standing, best time for P. Bulantsev.

In 125cc OK best time for Polish K. Basz (Kosmic/Vortex/Vega) with his own 1.07.464 on British C. Novalak (TonyKart/Vortex/Vega) 1.07.506.

In hyper KZ 125cc displacement and gearbox, two session of QP. On the first one, best time for Italian L. Lorandi (TonyKart/Vortex/Vega) with 1.04.700 after a dramatic last seconds of session with a bunch of drivers in a really short gap. In the second group with the track in condition better that the first, best time for French A. Abbasse (Sodi/Tm/Vega) that sign 1.04.250 who led the group on Italians Camplese and De Conto. Great timing for the Franch driver chez Sodì. For the 60cc Mini only Free Practice.

On Saturday day two, race as Qualification Heats with 16 turns waiting the composition for the grids on Saunday final phase.

(INT) Karting: Sarno Circuito (ITA) 2016 opening with WSK Super Master Series for its second seasonal round

Circuito Internazionale Napoli, as know as Sarno in Italy is set to commence its racing-offer from next week on March 20 2016 and run till to December with various motorsport events in all racing specialities.

Concerning the Karting, first race of the season will be the WSK Super Master Series with its own second round. Scrolling the calendar, others Karting’s National and International events will held at Circuito like the round of ACI Campionato Italiano Karting and when in the middle of October, Sarno’s track will be the home of Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals with hundreds of drivers that came from all around the world.

WSK Super Master Series represent one of the most important and competitive Karting series and since its creation, with 2012 season, it was always in Sarno’s Karting racing calendar.

Last year for Sarno’s WSK SMS, the leaderboard with four kart vehicle classes involved in the race, scored the victory for:

60cc Mini: Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi/Tm/Vega) ITA; 125cc KFJ: Ulysse De Pauw (Birel Art/Parilla/Vega) SUI; 125cc KF: Felice Tiene (CRG/Parilla/Vega) ITA; 125cc KZ(2) Gearshift: Simo Puhakka (CRG/Maxter/Vega) FIN.

For present 2016 season after WSK SMS first round, on top class KZ, defending champion Marco Ardigò (TonyKart/Vortex) will try in Sarno to climb the standing due the “poor” for him fifth position reached in the series opening round. On brand new classes the OK and the OKJ always with 125cc displacement, a legacy from KF and KFJ, new names on top: Moroccan driver Sami Taoufik (FA/Vortex/Vega) for OKJ and Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG/Parilla/Vega) for OK. Last but not least in 60ccMini lead the standing Italian Francesco Pizzi (Energy/Iame/Vega).

On track, the traditional Sarno’s layout with 1699 mt per lap and in 2012 the current lap record were marked just in occasion of the first season of WSK Super Master Series:

Karting: a Sarno (Sa) presso il Circuito Internazionale Napoli apertura della stagione 2016 con il secondo round del WSK Super Master Series

Parte con il Karting a Sarno la nuova stagione corse del Circuito Internazionale Napoli. Molti gli appuntamenti in programma fra gare Internazionali e Nazionali. Primo appuntamento di assoluto rilievo in questo imminente fine settimana. Pista aperta a Sarno (Sa) presso il Circuito Internazionale Napoli per l’inizio della nuova stagione corse che sarà ricca di eventi per tutte le specialità motoristiche. Inizierà in pompa magna il Karting con il secondo turno del WSK Super Master Series di scena nell’imminente fine settimana del 20 di marzo. Scorrendo il calendario della specialità, eventi Nazionali ed Internazionali come il round del Campionato Italiano Karting ed il super evento mondiale di metà ottobre denominato Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Le gare del WSK Super Master Series rappresentano un campionato dei più importanti e competitivi per il Karting professionistico e sin dalla creazione della serie, nel 2012 è stato sempre presente nel calendario gare del Circuito di Sarno. Nella passata stagione, 2015 per il WSK SMS a Sarno, nelle quattro classi di veicoli-kart impegnati in pista, le vittorie furono per: Classe: name (Telaio/Motore/Gomme) 60cc Mini: Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi/Tm/Vega) ITA; 125cc KFJ: Ulysse De Pauw (Birel Art/Parilla/Vega) SUI; 125cc KF: Felice Tiene (CRG/Parilla/Vega) ITA; 125cc KZ(2) Gearshift: Simo Puhakka (CRG/Maxter/Vega) FIN. Per l’attuale stagione 2016, il WSK SMS giunge in Sarno dopo il round gara d’apertura, con nuove regolamentazioni tecniche e di denominazione di alcune classi di veicoli: nella top class KZ, il campione in carica Marco Ardigò (TonyKart/Vortex) proverà nella “sua” Sarno a scalare la classifica provvisioria dopo un esordio per lui non brillantissimo concluso con la quinta posizione finale presso il circuito di Castelletto. Nelle nuove classi OK e OKJ sempre con motore due tempi di 125cc, che raccolgono l’eredità delle classi KF e KFJ, nomi nuovi in vetta: il Marocchino Sami Taoufik (FA/Vortex/Vega) per la OKJ and lo Spagnolo Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG/Parilla/Vega) per l’OK. Infine, nella 60ccMini a guidare la classifica è l’altro Italiano Francesco Pizzi (Energy/Iame/Vega). In pista, il tradizionale disegno del Circuito Internazionale Napoli con il tracciato di gara di 1699 mt e la curiosità che le migliori prestazioni in riferimento al record della pista, restano ancora quelle segnate nel 2012 proprio in occasione della prima stagione del WSK Super Master Series: Sarno’s Power Lap:
